Euan Williams secures Dover Athletic move
Gillingham midfielder gets the chance of a fresh start with National League South side.
Former Gillingham midfielder Euan Williams has sealed a move to National League South side Dover Athletic.
Williams, who signed at Gillingham after a successful trial period with the club two seasons ago, saw his time at the club beset by injuries as he struggled to establish himself as a viable first-teamer at Priestfield.
The midfielder, who operates most effectively in an advanced role, made a total of 17 first-team appearances for the Gills – 14 of them in League Two – creating two assists, picking up two yellow cards, and one red card (on his first-team debut in an EFL Cup defeat at Swansea City).
Unfortunately for Williams, a series of injuries severely hampered his chances of working his way into the first team, with the former Charlton man making just four appearances in the calendar year of 2025, and four more in 2026 before he was eventually released at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Hopefully Euan is able to shake off his bad luck with injuries and gets the chance to properly establish himself as a first-teamer at Crabble next season.
